Conditions and strengthens your hair giving a beautiful healthy shine.

This plant-based dye is non-invasive, gently coating your hair shaft with a semi-transparent, semi-permanent layer of colour. The final colour will partly depend on the colour of your hair underneath, making it lighter where your initial hair colour is light and darker where your initial hair colour is dark. On white/grey hair this Dark Brown shade is likely to be light to medium brown. On light brown hair it is likely to be dark brown. On already dark brown hair it may be a very dark brown to black. If your hair is a salt-and-pepper mix of brown and white, then the overall effect will average out, with brown hair going a darker brown and white hair going a lighter brown. A darker colour can be obtained by repeated applications. The longevity of the Dark Brown shade depends how porous your hair is and how often you wash it. It tends to last on average about 3 to 4 weeks on the roots, but it can become permanent on porous areas of your hair such as the older, longer lengths of hair which become more weathered and porous over time.

The Dark Brown works well on most greys, but some hair types may need to first dye with Henna Red before applying Dark Brown in a second application. To establish whether this is necessary, please do a strand test. To check the colour, we always strongly recommend you strand test a small section of your hair – from root to tip - before applying to your entire head. To achieve the best results, please read the below Additional Information and the in-box instruction leaflet carefully. Remove product build-up from your hair prior to colouring with a clarifying shampoo or treatment. Silicone and other residue prevent the colour from coating your hair. The colour will deepen over a few hours and days as it oxidises on your hair. On very light-coloured or light grey hair it sometimes appears to have a green tinge at first, but don’t panic - this will fade gradually over a few hours or days, as the dye oxidises and the colour deepens. If your hair has been chemically lightened, it will affect the colour result. - Please always strand test the herbal colour from root to tip, to check the colour outcome before applying to all your hair. It is not recommended to use chemical lighteners on your hair after using this dye, unless it has faded or grown out. This is because bleach will not remove the indigo element of the dye, so you may possibly be left with a bluish colour. If you do want to try bleaching, please strand test first.
